John S. Kamarados
John S. Kamarados is a trial attorney with more than 10 years of experience. He joined Weisel Xides and Foerster, LLP, as Of Counsel, and practices in the areas of personal injury law, Ohio workers' compensation, veterans' benefits, Social Security disability, civil litigation, DUI and traffic violations and property tax assessment appeals.
Helping Injured & Disabled People
Mr. Kamarados was raised in the Ohio Valley, where he developed his interest in helping injured people when he saw people he knew affected by injury or disability. He saw their lives impacted by being victims of negligence and having to work through the court system, or those who became disabled and had to work through Social Security or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
John represents veterans who have been denied disability claims and are attempting to obtain VA Benefits. He is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs. As part of his veterans' practice he has handled issues on appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He enjoys helping veterans who have honorably served our country and who now need assistance with denied VA claims from a medical condition or disease that was aggravated by or is a result of military service. He represents veterans in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.
John represented his first Social Security client while in law school as part of a legal clinic program. Since then, he has represented Social Security clients in cases involving physical injuries and diseases as well as psychological disorders.
Property Tax Assessment Appeals
Mr. Kamarados has gained knowledge and experience in previously representing school districts in property tax assessment appeals. He applies this knowledge to representing homeowners and businesses in property tax appeals. He has handled property tax appeals on properties ranging from single family homes to multi-million dollar businesses.
Personal Injury & Ohio Workers' Compensation
Mr. Kamarados has tried personal injury cases to verdict in several counties throughout Pennsylvania, and has also handled personal injury cases in West Virginia and Ohio, including the Ohio Valley. His cases have included personal injury and product liability matters. His clients have included people who have been injured in automobile accidents and those who sustained injuries in a slip and fall. He has also handled Ohio Workers' Compensation cases throughout the state of Ohio.
Criminal Law & Traffic Violations Practice
Mr. Kamarados assists people who have been charged with DUI and traffic violations in order to help them through the criminal court process. He has handled DUI cases in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Beaver, Butler and Washington Counties. He also handles traffic violation cases as he understands how important a driver's license is in today's society.
Education & Associations
John S. Kamarados is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the National Organization of Veterans Advocates and the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America) where he has served on various boards and committees that help advance the cause of injure people. Mr. Kamarados earned his Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and also obtained his law degree from WVU.
